Carlos Echeverría is a Senior Advisor at NITID Corporate Affairs, where he provides strategic analysis and advisory services on Security and Defence to companies operating in complex international environments, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Africa.
He has been a Professor of International Relations at the National University of Distance Education (UNED) since 2000 and has taught at the General Gutiérrez Mellado University Institute since 2001, where he served as Deputy Director from 2018 to 2022.
Throughout his career, he has been a Research Fellow at the Institute for Security Studies of the Western European Union in Paris, a Visiting Scientist at the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, and a Lecturer at the NATO Defense College. He has also collaborated with CESEDEN, under Spain’s Ministry of Defence, since 1987.
He is the author of a number of academic publications and books, including Terrorismo y relaciones internacionales and Paz, Seguridad y Defensa en las Relaciones Internacionales.
