Javier Balmaseda is a Director at NITID Corporate Affairs, where he advises national and international clients on their engagement with the European institutions and on monitoring the legislative agenda in Brussels.
He has 10 years of experience in the European Parliament, where he held a range of responsibilities related to communications, policy and team coordination. Until July 2024, he served as Communications Director for the Ciudadanos Europa delegation, as well as Policy Director and coordinator of the Members of the European Parliament assistants.
Previously, he was assistant and chief of staff to MEP Maite Pagazaurtundua between 2014 and 2019, gaining first-hand knowledge of the European institutions and legislative processes.
He holds degrees in Law and Political Science from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a Master’s in Political Communication from Goldsmiths, University of London.
