Javier Balmaseda is Director of EU Affairs at NITID, a position from which he helps national and international clients to develop their relations with the European Commission, the Parliament and other actors in the legislature that has just begun, as well as to know the ins and outs of the EU institutions and to understand how they work.
With an extensive career of 10 years in the European Parliament, he has held different responsibilities. Until July 2024 he has been the communication director of Ciudadanos Europa delegation, as well as the delegation’s Policy director and coordinator of the assistants to the Ciudadanos MEPs. Previously he was head of office MEP Maite Pagazaurtundua from 2014 to 2019.
He holds a degree in Law and Political Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a master’s degree in political communication from Goldsmiths, University of London.
